I'm so loving this. The name for obvious resons. You can never go wrong when naming or dressing yourself with bear. As for the biography, Message To Bears began in 2007 as the bedroom recording project of instrumentalist Jerome Alexander. As for the sound, Alexander interweaves acoustic guitar, piano, electronics, ethereal samples, strings and hushed vocals.

JET split! Not that I really followed them after their smashing debut album. Has anybody else? I mean really? It's sad anyway, not for them, or us, but for indie music in general. Because Get Born was released in 2003, when indie music was at it's best. And if bands like JET start splitting now, that kind of marks the end of that era - officially.

It's The Lumineers! So far, and three months down the line, my favourite new band this year. They sound like the perfect mix between Mumford & Sons and The Head And The Heart. If you find the way to their website you can stream the entire album already, which is ace, the streaming and the album. Otherwise you just buy the thing, out a week from today.

This sounds like indie, no? Yes. As for the video, apparently it's classified as 'hand-painted, stop-motion animation'. Hand-painted, as in hand-hand-painted? Doubt it. Here it is: The band's roots lay at an art school in Edinburgh and director Dan Brereton printed out each of the 4,000-plus frames of footage of the group performing. Arty indie it is.

San Cisco are from Down Under and currently unsigned (so I've read). If you always wanted to form a record label, I figure now is your chance. Now or never, basically. As for the sound, San Cisco sound a bit like a younger version of Metronomy. Metronomy Junior if you want. Nothing wrong with that and the perfect soundtrack to this perfect Sunday.

Ok here it goes: This is the only great track on Madonna's new album - and it is smashing (you can never go wrong with an untalented singer uttering the words Bang Bang). Then there are two alright ones, and the rest, well. You might not agree, but I am right.

Which is pretty neat and this isn't necessarily the best track on the album, if you ask me. As for The Killers, they have announced to release another album later on this year. It's about time, I'd say. Frankly.

Anyway, this is ten times beautiful, with or without a shady haze of alcoholic leftovers. As for The Civil Wars, they met during a Nashville, Tennessee songwriting session in 2008. The band won the Grammy Award for Best Country Duo/Group Performance and Best Folk Album in 2012.

Basically 2012 is off to a great start when it comes to songs. Everything else has been pretty shitty. And if it wasn't, the fact alone that it wasn't would be enough to complain about.
