When Desert Stars front-woman Janelle Best took a trip to the Joshua Tree National Park one night, the difference between the bustle of the city and the starlit ceiling of the desert sky left a mark on her. Best explains, “I had an itch to start a band back and looking up at the stars, I realized… it was time to start that band and Desert Stars would be the raddest name ever”.
