Whatever People Say I Am That's What I Am Not came out a day and 12 years ago today. The Arctic Monkey debut didn't just change the music business, the band being the first proper internet band who debuted at number one without a record company having them signed - it also had a personal impact on my taste in music like no band ever before or since.
