Frida Hyvonen - I Drive My Friend

A: Frida Hyvonen
S: I Drive My Friend
C: Until Death Comes

Frida is driving, so you don't have to. On that note I'd like to point out how super busy I am today, just about to hit the airport in Ibiza to catch a plan back to Germany, to then drive the drive (Frida won't be driving me after all) and finally get on a train back to Zurich. Don't read this if you're not up for some trash blogging. But for now, I'll leave you with this song.

The Pierces - You'll Be Mine

A: The Pierces
S: You'll Be Mine
C: You & I

One, two, three. It's The Pierces. Not exactly new, not exactly exceptional, but down right gorgeous. One, two, three. I do admit I bought the whole album only because of their styling. One, two, three. I blame the world for being unfair. Because if it wasn't, I would have been born in the 50s, spend my childhood during the 60s and had my teenage years in the 70s. One, two, three. I like.

Coldplay - Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall

A: Coldplay
S: Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall
C: Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall - Single

I predict: This is going to be big. Huge, actually. Massive. If you're not oh so sure, check the lyrics. Nothing but brilliant is: I’d rather be a comma than a full stop. CLever beyond believe. I totally trip on that line. So I've had this on repeat ll day yesterday while splashing my feet in a hotel pool and realized, the world is still a better place thanks to Chris Martins voice.

Tim Bendzko - Nur Noch Kurz Die Welt Retten

A: Tim Bendzko
S: Nur Noch Kurz Die Welt Retten
C: Wenn Worte Meine Sprache Wären (out 17.06.11)

So today's song is in German. For all of you who don't get the most beautiful language of all (there is some irony in there, somewhere, but I do like it), here's the important part, translated. Tim, Ben, whatever his name, is saving the world, or trying to, being super busy, and missing half his life, all the important stuff actually, while checking mails and stuff you know.

Rihanna - Man Down

A: Rihanna
S: Man Down
C: Loud

Can I have a lazy one today? Can I please? Ok then.
Rum bum bum bum rum bum bum bum rum bum bum bum.
Man Down.
Rum bum bum bum rum bum bum bum rum bum bum bum.
Man Down.
By the way, it's Rihanna's new video to her new single of her oh so rum bum not so new but latest album Loud.

Kings Of Leon - Back Down South

A: Kings Of Leon
S: Back Down South
C: Come Around Sundown

Look, it's the new video of that band we all like. And even if this doesn't get 1150 likes today, I am pretty sure there isn't anybody who does not like the Followill quartet. What else to add? Ah yeah, I never thought I'd hear myself say this but I think I preferred Caleb with longer hair, and I'm not big on longer hair at all. Normally, you know.

Morning Parade - A&E

A: Morning Parade
S: A&E
C: Under The Stars - EP

I love the beat to this. Can you feel it? Yes you can. Try to adjust the volume upwards (as in louder of course), because the recording is either quite quiet or I've gone rather deaf, which wouldn't surprise me at all, actually. Anyway, Morning Parade are a five piece band from Harlow, Essex, making rock tracks with a distinct 90s dance anthem influence.
