... one should never forget - that there are wonders, we haven’t seen yet.

A: The Sound Of Arrows
S: Magic
C: Voyage

The W.O.R.L.D. is full of M.A.G.I.C., the video is totally O.T.T. and the album is finally out. The Sound of Arrows release their debut today. It only took them like forever and a day to do it. Anyway, yes there is a kids choir singing in the background but I figured it's monday and hopefully nobody will notice. Facts & Figures: The band is from Sweden, not Spain, as you might think, watching the video.

... I'll get over you I know I will - I'll pretend my ship's not sinking.

Go West-King Of Wishful Thinking von adiis

A: Go West
S: The King Of Wishful Thinking
C: Pretty Woman - OST

Hands up if you instantly know which movie this song is from. Ok here's the thing: You can call me the campiest thing that ever wrote a music blog, but my big B day is approaching, and I'll hit the big 3 this year. You do the maths, I'm an 80s child (thank fcuk - wouldn't want to be anything after that), contemplating some sort of nostalgia at the moment, if you know what I mean. Oh, it's Pretty Woman, btw.

Starfucker - Quality Time

A: Starfucker
S: Quality Time
C: Reptilians

Oh I love the video, it's a bit like Dancing On My Own, by Robyn, totally reinterpreted, if you know what I mean. And the bands name is ace too, obviously. Is it a band or a single artist? Hang on, I'll check. I think it's a band. Anyway, I just realized that this must be the first all instrumental song I post on here. Which is kind of odd, but it feels like total avant-garde. Just kidding. Seriously.

... I've given up a thousand times - but I will never quit.

We Cut Corners "Pirate's Life" from Kijek / Adamski on Vimeo.

A: We Cut Corners
S: Pirate's Life
C: Today I Realised I Could Go Home Backwards (out 11.11.11)

I think they are from Ireland. Yes? Don't know. Funny, if I don't know anything about a band I consider it super important to talk about them. If I do know stuff I think it's better to talk about, well, myself. So anyway, gorgeous song, gorgeous video and the best part is, if you visit the bands homepage, you can download a couple of songs for free, see: http://www.wecutcorners.net/

... keep this firmly placed inbetween your lips.

The Good Natured - 'Skeleton' from Brian Fawcett - Cinematographer on Vimeo.

A: The Good Natured
S: Skeleton
C: Skeleton - EP

Broad British accent, I like. And if you ever needed a definition for an emo haircut, here you go. Although the music is anything but emo, of course. I think. Anyway, it's too early to make stuff up on my own so here's something or nothing about the band: The Good Natured are an English electropop band, consisting of Sarah McIntosh on vocals and keyboards, her brother Hamish McIntosh on bass and George Hinton (an acquaintance of Sarah from university - bless) on drums.

... light me up a cigarette - and put it in my mouth.

I'm not yours - Angus and Julia Stone (2011) from Nick Murray Willis on Vimeo.

A: Angus & Julia Stone
S: I'm Not Yours
C: Down The Way

Now there isn't much to say about Angus & Julia Stone, besides that they are brilliant and that I haven't met nobody yet who doesn't love them. And that they are from down under, of course. There is a short story to this song. Julia first wrote a song called I'm Yours, and they only played that for couple of times, and then she wrote this one. And they played it many times and lived happily ever after.

.. the more they give, the more I steal - but I've always come clean.

A: Little Majorette
S: Bite The Bullet
C: Rifle Heart

I like Little Majorette, like really. Major. Now, I'm not one to compare bands, but every time I listen to this album, I think Little Majorette are the better version of Oh Land. I know, there's room for Oh Land too. But this sounds like more fun, to me. Anyway, this trio called LM is from Sweden, they all play in other bands I've never heard of, and they describe their debut album as melodic bliss. I like!
