Nite Jewel - One Second of Love

A: Nite Jewel
S: One Second of Love
C: One Second of Love

Nite Jewel is signed to Secretly Canadian - so I can nothing but love this. The video, especiall, the lyrics, mostly, and the music genre, in addition. Classified as Lo-Fi, which I'm not very familiar with but I always love to explore new musical territory. Is there terrorist in territory? Looks like it, if you ask me. I'll get back to you on this one.

... you advise me how to play - when I’m with you.

The Shoes Feat. Jake Gyllenhaal - Time To Dance

A: The Shoes
S: Time To Dance
C: Crack My Bones

Right. This is the first time in this blog's history that I post the same song twice. I already posted this last summer, when there was no video, obviously. Now that there is one, combining one of the best French bands around, acclaimed director Daniel Wolfe, and one of the freshest young actors on the planet, I am simply posting it again. Enjoy.

... after sun, it won’t be long - and now it’s time for you to run.

Pierre Pascual - Je Danse Dans Ma Chambre

A: Pierre Pascual
S: Je Danse Dans Ma Chambre
C: Premier Amour (out 21.05.12)

Look, it's French. The song, and the styling too, which is supposed to brighten up your Monday. Because if this don't, I wouldn't know what will. Pierre Pascual is a french singer, songwriter, performer and multidisciplinary artist (says his page). His debut album Premier Amour will be out May 21st, following three singles and an EP or two.

... dance with you tonight - I wanna dance, love at first sight.

The Civil Wars - Barton Hollow

A: The Civil Wars
S: Barton Hollow
C: Barton Hollow

I think I am still drunk. And I think I never have been as drunk on beer as last night. I didn't even know one could get this drunk on beer. Anyway, this is ten times beautiful, with or without a shady haze of alcoholic leftovers. As for The Civil Wars, they met during a Nashville, Tennessee songwriting session in 2008. The band won the Grammy Award for Best Country Duo/Group Performance and Best Folk Album in 2012.

... keep walking and running and running for miles.

Beach House - Myth

A: Beach House
S: Myth
C: Myth - EP

The most frustrating thing about a book called face is probably seeing other people in other cities posting pictures where there's unlimited sunshine, and then you look outside your own window and all you see is a miserable soup of grey and rain. Which is why we need perfect songs like this one to brighten up our somewhat less than perfect days.

... what comes after this - momentary bliss.

WhoMadeWho - Inside World

A: WhoMadeWho
S: Inside World
C: Brighter

It's Friday, much more than an usual Friday, but I won't bore you with too much details. And this is WhoMadeWho, who I love, especially on a Friday. The three Danes held one of the funkiest concerts I've ever been to. They claimed that stage right after Franz Ferdinand so maybe that had something to do with it too. But they are ace, anyway.

... stay in tune, stay in shape, stay in bed.

Lissy Trullie - It's Only You, Isn't It?

A: Lissy Trullie
S: It's Only You, Isn't It?
C: Lissy Trullie (out 10.04.12)

So today is International Women's Day. Didn't even know that existed. Is it new? Is there an International Men's Day too? Probably not. Never mind. Anyway, this new video by Lissy Trullie features Chloë Sevigny. Apparently the two have been friends for ages. Didn't know Chloë did actual friends. And Lissy's album is out on April 10th.

... decency is hard - this is when I fell apart.
