Wild Nothing - Paradise

S: Paradise
C: Nocturne

It's Wild Nothing! Which means it's Jack Tatum. Which is, judging by this song, pretty awesome. Why? Because Wild Nothing is described as an American dream pop act and was created in late 2009. Ok the only thing really awesome is the dream pop part. Nocturne will be out in two weeks, but you can already download Paradise for free on soundcloud. Enjoy.

... you tell me once or twice - that love is paradise.

Highasakite - Indian Summer

A: Highasakite
S: Indian Summer
C: All That Floats Will Rain

Highasakite are Norwegian by origin and Brooklyn based by choice. This track is pretty pretty and all you can ask of a song to be the perfect soundtrack to an all ordinary Monday morning. One shot of gloom, two shots of hopeful. Basically it is the perfect soundtrack to the end of summer. Which starts now. Even if there was no summer. Like in Berlin. Just saying.

... I will run - like an Indian, tomorrow.

Sonic Youth - Sunday

It's Sonic Youth. And it's Sunday. There isn't much more to say really. Except this is for you, M. K. And this blog isn't a bowl of cherries, of course.

... a perfect day for a quiet friend - and you will set it free.

Other Lives - For 12

Since we went to Mars and back this week (some colleagues of mine didn't even notice, I mean: what the what?) I figured this would be a perfect video to post. Especially because Other Lives is such a great band, especially because For 12 is such a great song. Anyway, back to Mars. As long as we don't get humans up there, I'm not overly bothered.

... it feels like forever - when your mind turns to fiction.

THE DARKNESS - EVERYBODY HAVE A GOOD TIME

A: THE DARKNESS
S: EVERYBODY HAVE A GOOD TIME
C: HOT CAKES

The Darkness are back! I mean it, back as in back. After seven years, it seems like the world's most unnecessary band has finally recovered from the wrong turn they took with their second album. And are heading into the brilliant direction their debut took. As for the video, I love it. There is so much truth and depth in there, it is nothing but totes amaze. Ok I'm off to a reality check.

... anticipation, too much to pay - maybe I’m crazy.

Two Door Cinema Club - Sleep Alone

A: Two Door Cinema Club
S: Sleep Alone
C: Beacon

There are weeks like this, in a blogger's when you don't have a clue what the week will turn out to be. And then it is one smash hit after the other. Much like this week. Much like life. Or sex. Sex is much like life, and life is a dance, and dancing is music. It all makes sense. I think. Sometimes everything falls into place. And sometimes it doesn't. I'm clever on Thursdays.

... it's so hard not to believe - that we'll never know.

Mumford & Sons - I Will Wait

A: Mumford & Sons
S: I Will Wait
C: Babel

We will wait too! Another six weeks at least, until Babel is released. In the meantime I'm debating if Mumford & Sons might just be the greatest band of our times. Their songs sound so handcrafted. Folk songs mostly do. But these are special, obviously. We will see. Anyway, judging now, Babel will outshine Sigh No More by a mile. So keep we'll keep waiting.

... you forgave and I won't forget.
