The Lone Bellow - Cold As It Is

A: The Lone Bellow
S: Cold As It Is
C: Then Came The Morning

Three more weeks until Then Came The Morning is out. The album’s latest single, “Cold As It Is”, finds The Lone Bellow embracing its Americana roots with a touch of grittiness. Take a listen below.

... I saw you walking over water while I was drowning underneath.

Hannah Miller - Promise Land

A: Hannah Miller
S: Promise Land
C: Promise Land - Single

As with everything in life, you can look at this video from two sides. It is either Hannah Miller's song Promise Land, or it's a visual stunning documentary of Chernobyl. Either way, you need to see it.

... every step I take I feel farther away.

She & Him - Classics - Full Album

A: She & Him
C: Classics

January feels like a kind of cold turkey month anyway, but I have just discovered a new kind of low: the first Monday morning in January. It's as depressing as it can get. Which is why we'll have a whole She & Him album to help us through the day.

... we lived our little drama.

Arthur Russell - That's Us/Wild Combination

A: Arthur Russell
S: That's Us/Wild Combination
C: Calling Out Of Context

Four days into the new year I can only say that this time around, my only new year's resolution is not to have any resolutions. All the ones I had in mind failed miserably so far. Very very miserably.

... I can't wait to see you another minute.

Boys Town Gang - Cruisin' The Streets

A: Boys Town Gang
S: Cruisin' The Streets
C: Cruisin' The Streets - Single

Boys, boys, boys, boys, boys, boys, boys, boys, boys, boys, boys, boys, boys, boys, boys, boys, boys, boys, boys, boys, boys, boys, boys, boys, boys, boys, boys, boys, boys, boys, boys, boys, boys, boys, boys will be boys.

... what are you fags up to?

Two Gallants - We Are Undone

A: Two Gallants
S: We Are Undone
C: We Are Undone

Album number five of this folky Frisco duo will see the light of day this February. The sound is as almost always limited to two instruments only, which is like 'running into a wall and bouncing back in different directions', the band says.

... as long as your cup's full, everything is fine.

Youth Lagoon - The Year of Hibernation

A: Youth Lagoon
S: July
C: The Year of Hibernation

Welcome to 2015. Let's kickstart the new year with my new fevourite band out there. Youth Lagoon completely skipped my radar three years ago when releasing their debut The Year of Hibernation. What a shame.

... I sang "I love you, but I have to cut you loose".
