London Grammar - Rooting For You

A: London Grammar
S: Rooting For You

Guess who's back. London Grammar return with an evocative new song, the first since the trio's 2013 debut If You Wait. Rooting For You features all the elements that first caught our attention: Hannah's evocative and haunting vocals, subtle instrumentation, and thoughtful lyricism.

... but I'm scared of loneliness.

The internet is losing it over this German R&B jam. Ace Tee, a singer based in Hamburg, is being hailed as our generation’s answer to TLC. And Bist Du Down? aka Are You Down? does indeed sound like it came straight from the hey-day of that era’s R&B scene.

George Michael - Precious Box

A: George Michael
S: Precious Box

Is it too soon to pick my song of the year? Also how come I never heard this before. Anything you need to get you through January you'll find on George Michael's Patience. Anything to help you get over loosing him too.

... I could be waiting my whole damn life.

Simon & Garfunkel - Sound Of Silence

A: Simon & Garfunkel
S: Sound Of Silence

Even 52 years later, Simon and Garfunkel perform the Sound Of Silence like only they can. And since there is no month darker and quieter than January, I only see it fit and fair to make to put this on repeat for the next 30 days.

... hello darkness, my old friend.

Lana Del Rey - Fine China

A: Lana Del Rey
S: Fine China

The current untitled fourth major studio album by Del Rey is in the making and expected to be released this year. Back in 2015, Lana stated she wanted the record to have a “pop-friendly” and “New York style” sound, and to be a little harder, faster, more upbeat, and less dreamy.

... strong like a tree but the unlucky one.

The Alan Parsons Project - Mammagamma

For whatever this new year has in store, it can't be any better than today's song, which describes today's mood perfectly. Consider it a free hug in the form of a song, that's the best I can do on a first Monday of the year.

Ina Deter - Neue Männer braucht das Land

A: Ina Deter
S: Neue Männer braucht das Land

Maybe now more than ever, this country, much like most other countires, needs new men. And we all know that there's at last one man in every woman, talking literally but maybe not only. Anyways, the times is always right before it is up.

... er muß nett sein, auch im Bett.
