FARAH - THE ONLY ONES

A: FARAH
S: THE ONLY ONES

As the Italians Do It Better fanboi number one I am, I always take great pleasure in realising I can spot an artist signed to the label already one mile or three chords away. In this case even two years away. Farah hasn't released anything new since this gem in 2017, which doesn't mean this track isn't about to rock your socks off.

... see my eyes as they wander.

The Roots - Don't Say Nuthin'

A: The Roots
S: Don't Say Nuthin'

It's been a while, 15 years exactly, since The Roots' sixth album The Tipping Point was released. This one hell of a funky record collection, the album will be re-released on vinyl next month on a gorgeous gold pressing which looks pretty yellow to me but hurry anyway because there are only 300 copies exclusively available for the European Market.

... beats bring the beast out me.

Corine - Pourquoi Pourquoi

A: Corine
S: Pourquoi Pourquoi

Put some French in your Friday. With Corine's disco-pop beats that could have happened 40 years ago as much as today. Listening to a song like this you might think it's hard to listen through an entire album, but in case you wanna try, there is one, called Un Air De Fete.

... je veux rentrer chez moi.

Sharon Van Etten - No One's Easy To Love

A: Sharon Van Etten
S: No One's Easy To Love

Everybody's favourite Van waltzes through the Empire State Plaza in Albany, New York in her atmospheric new video for No One’s Easy to Love, a song off her latest album Remind Me Tomorrow, released earlier this year. The clip was directed by Katherine Dieckmann, who also shot the cover art for Remind Me Tomorrow and previously directed the video for Van Etten’s Jupiter 4.

... don't look back, don't be surprised.

The Acid - Basic Instinct

A: The Acid
S: Basic Instinct

The otherworldly movements of Los Angeles dance outfit WIFE cast a meditative spell over The Acid’s synaesthetic music video from filmmaker Dugan O’ Neal and the band’s Ry X. The Acid have so far built up a following as an anonymous totem of haunting vocals and dismembered electronics, but are today revealed as the LA-based singer-songwriter Ry X, Team Supreme collaborator and veteran electronic artist Steve Nalepa and Grammy-nominated British dance producer and DJ Adam Freeland.

... silent in sin.

Dominic Fike - 3 Nights

A: Dominic Fike
S: 3 Nights

Dominic Fike is on his way to being your next hate-listen. Fike, a 22-year-old from Florida who sings easygoing songs about being young and has a tattoo of the Apple logo on his cheekbone. After a flashy bidding war, Columbia Records released a 14-minute project from Fike called Don’t Forget About Me, Demos last year. 3 Nights was Demos’ first and most fully-formed track. Enjoy below.

... you can call me names if you call me up.

Flume Feat. Reo Cragun - Friends

A: Flume Feat. Reo Cragun

Following the release of his mixtape Hi This Is Flume, the Australian producer has dropped the track featuring Reo Cragun, an artist out of Vancouver, Washington. Hi This Is Flume featured other collaborations with SOPHIE, slowthai, JPEGMAFIA, Eprom, and more. Make new friends below.
