Peter Fox - Alles Neu

A: Peter Fox
S: Alles Neu
C: Stadtaffe

Stadtaffe was the summer album 2009 - probably the album 2009 altogether. Today I'll pay tribute 'to ex-and-again-Seeed-singer' Peter Fox who created a tribute record to his hometown Berlin that was/is beyond any standard. To put it in the words of a 'Mars' claim: Pleasure you can't measure.

Arcade Fire - The Suburbs

A: Arcade Fire
S: The Suburbs
C: The Suburbs (out 03.08.10)

Yesterday we all celebrated the release of the new Scissor Sisters album Night work - and today Summer just got better! Arcade fire will release their 3rd studio album come august - and I might just consider moving, to the suburbs, of course. Check out the tube for more songs of the new record.

Light Asylum - Knights and Weekends

A: Light Asylum
S: Knights and Weekend
C: (no clue whatsoever)

Right, there was a promise I made yesterday so this is the best quality song clip I could find. Light Asylum, fav band of Telepathe (and many others, according to raving youtube comments!), haven't got an album out - so it might just be the next best big amazing thing to happen! You lot better all make sure this is the first place you ever heard of it... if it is.

Telepathe - So Fine

A: Telepathe
S: So Fine
C: Dance Mother

Somewhere between avan-tgarde and electropop, Telepathe released their so so fine debut album last year. Busy Gangnes and Melissa Livaudais, both leftovers of the band Wikkid, live and compose in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY - where else? According to their Myspace-page, Light Asylum is their favorite band in the world. Let's see what I'll post tomorrow... mmh.

Underworld - Scribble

A: Underworld
S: Scribble
C: Scribble - EP

Not by me - but it sums things up pretty much to the point:
Hand held camera: $400
Petrol: $20
Hours spent adding coloured effects: 3
The look on Karl's face as he loses himself in the music: Priceless.

Blondie - One Way or Another

A: Blondie
S: One Way or Another
C: Parallel Lines

I'll keep it short today - iconic songs don't need many words. Lady Harris is one of a kind, probably sexiness personified. Any questions left? No, didn't think so...

Stars - Fixed

A: Stars
S: Fixed
C: The Five Ghosts

Originally from Canada, founded in New York City and released in Berlin. Singer and guitarist Torquil Campbell worked as an actor before (in Sex and the City, just to name one...). On their special edition to the new album 'The Five Ghosts', the combo features bands like The Album Leaf and Of Montreal (just to name two...) - so you might wanna think twice bout spending a penny or two more.
