This is your daily song calendar - every day there is a new song or music video waiting for you. Maybe you hate it, maybe you love it - maybe you already know it or maybe you'll just discover something new! Either way, it's all about the music and a little bit about the lyrics. And since you're here, I will share what I've learned over the years: An apple a day keeps the doctor away but if the doctor is cute - screw the fruit!

Radiohead - Creep
A: Radiohead
S: Creep
C: Pablo Honey
Ah well, the beauty of sheer pain never goes out of fashion. This song has been around for over 17 years, and I still shiver inside when I put it on. I'm glad I'm nowhere near a big Radiohead fan, because I always forget about this song, which makes me discover it all over again, when I do remember it. It's simply impossible to pick my favorite line in those stunning lyrics. Nothing less than a milestone in music history.

Glasser - Tremel
A: Glasser
S: Tremel
C: Ring
Back in the days, if I remember correctly, we were all keen to 'put our hands in the air'. Nowadays, simply put them in a music video. Which works perfectly nice, I think. The Guardian Uk called glasser 'a synth siren that sounds like a weirder and more credible version of Enya' - which I think is a bit far fetched, I mean, seriously, Enya? I wouldn't even know what she sounded like really, let alone being able to compare an artist to her.

Brandon Flowers - Only The Young
A: Brandon Flowers
S: Only The Young
C: Flamingo
Finally! The thing to say: to me, Brandon's solo album is in the top two of the best albums this year so far (and slowly but surely chances are running out of many others following - ps: the other one being The National with High Violet). Anyway, if you get the chance, do what I did this year: fly to Vegas, rent a car, drive up and down the bloody Strip round twilight or sunset, and listen to Flamingo. Epicness.

Nick Cave Feat. Kylie Minogue - Where The Wild Roses Grow
Where the wild roses grow from Jean on Vimeo.
A: Nick Cave Feat. Kylie Minogue
S: Where The Wild Roses Grow
C: Murder Ballads
It's my birthday and I post what I want to.. Remember this one? It's not so much of a feature but more a duet, I guess. And depending on which record you check, it is either her featuring him, or the other way round. But I do believe that Nick's involvement in creating the song was a bit bigger than Kylie's, so there you go. To me, one of the most brilliant collaborations ever with. Having said that, Kylie's always great when duetting with other male artists.

Belle And Sebastian Feat. Norah Jones - Little Lou, Ugly Jack, Prophet John
A: Belle And Sebastian Feat. Norah Jones
S: Little Lou, Ugly Jack, Prophet John
C: Write About Love
No don't judge this one too soon. For some strange reason, it became hip not to like Norah Jones. Which is totally irrational and I would like to point out that to me, Norah is hip. Having said that, when an artist is featured by Belle And Sebastian, nothing can go wrong really. The beauty is in the lyrics:
Can I see what's underneath your bed?
Can I stay until the milkman's working?
Can I stay until the coffee awakes?

Kid Cudi Feat. Kanye West - Erase Me
A: Kid Cudi Feat. Kanye West
S: Erase Me
C: Man On The Moon, Vol. ll
When I buy wine I often go for the label. Meaning, if I like the label I will buy the wine and if I like the label I most probably like the wine too. Well and then the price kind of matters, too. When buying records I am exactly the same (yes I still do buy records). So if I don't know anything about the artist I just go for the artwork. Music videos are kind of the same, if I like them it is hard not to like to song, and I love this one.

Freddy Mercury Feat. Montserrat Caballé - La Japonaise
A: Freddy Mercury Feat. Montserrat Caballé
S: La Japonaise
C: Barcelona
Today, 19 years ago, Freddy died. To me, personally, he was the greatest entertainer of all times and I am still waiting for all Queen songs to be included on UNESCO's world cultural heritage list. So, in order to camp this week up just to sadden it down at the same time, I post this song by Mr. Mercury featuring some unknown yet pretty talented opera singer from Spain, or wherever.
