Daphne And Celeste - You And I Alone

A: Daphne And Celeste
S: You And I Alone
C: You And I Alone - Single

Remember Daphne and Celeste? Back in 2000, they released the singles "U.G.L.Y." and "Ooh Stick You". Not long after, they broke up. Now they're back with their first release in 15 years. Max Tundra has produced this comeback single.

... your distant voice recalls the best of you.

Many Things - Holy Fire

A: Many Things
S: Holy Fire
C: Holy Fire - Single

Good morning Monday maniacs - if this won't put you in the mood, I don't know what will. Many Things have been stirring up a groundswell of hype ever since their London genesis. If you listen to Holy Fire, you'll know why.

... there's no way of saving your reputation now.

Jamie XX feat. Romy - Loud Places

Jamie xx - Loud Places (ft Romy) by pressHoustan

A: Jamie XX
S: Loud Places
C: In Colour (out 01.06.15)

It's Jamie xx from The xx featuring Romy from The xx - so it is basically The xx without being The xx. But no matter how you call it, it's a beautiful song, and there's more to come. Jamie's album In Colour is out June 1.

... when you come down I won't be around.

Leslie Clio - My Heart Ain’t That Broken

A: Leslie Clio
S: My Heart Ain’t That Broken
C: Eureka

Put some carelessness in your Saturday. I had a thought the other day that matches this pretty little gem perfectly. It went something like this: Even if life is going to pieces, it is still a sign that it goes on.

... love's no friend of mine.

WhoMadeWho - Ember

A: WhoMadeWho
S: Ember
C: Ember - EP

One of my favourite live bands is back with this stunning single and their new EP EMBER, which will be released on May 18. Dim the lights, chill those drinks, spin this record and move your feet like the foxy dancer you are!

... we could be walking in the sun.

Cristobal and the Sea - Disquiet

A: Cristobal and the Sea
S: Disquiet
C: Disquiet - Single

Disquiet is a grower, you might not see it that way but you have to believe me. It's sweet and soft and light like a summer breeze on your skin, not too hot, but totally carefree, kind of innocent like the late 60s, and gorgeous like the early 70s.

... it is vitally important that we should not love.

Dan Mangan + Blacksmith - Mouthpiece

A: Dan Mangan + Blacksmith
S: Mouthpiece
C: Club Meds

Canadian crooners Dan Mangan + Blacksmith have shared a new video for Mouthpiece which gives a taste of what to expect from the band on tour & brings to life a track that is particularly important to Dan. “It took me months and months to feel like the lyrics were finished” he explained. “It’s a rant. It’s nearly a tirade!”

... we like to talk about the past.
