The Platters - Smoke Gets In Your Eyes

A: The Platters
S: Smoke Gets In Your Eyes

Happy World No Tobacco Day everbody. Also, fuck you world. Ever since I learned that Donald Covfefe refrains from tobacco, I decided never to completely abandon it. That and Mad Men, of course.

... all who love are blind.

Frisco - Get Greazy

A: Frisco
S: Get Greazy

Man like Frisco has smashed back onto the scene with this latest hard offering, Get Greazy. Big Fris is keeping it real with this one, in the video cold first two minutes, before the music switches up and we find ourselves in a fully-fledged BBK short film. You know when it’s a BBK joint the boys always take it to the next level and this is certainly true when it comes to Get Greazy.

... I'm everywhere you ain't been.

Las Aves - Antistar

A: Las Aves
S: Antistar

Things I found on friend's timelines. Parisian trio Las Aves wrote Antistar while they were on tour with their Die In Shangai album. Antistar denounces sexism in the music industry, of which Géraldine Baux had been a victim, delivering a message of independence and freedom for women.

... if I don't want to dance, I will not.

CHROMATICS - Shadow

A: CHROMATICS
S: Shadow

If you’ve watched the Twin Peaks premiere, chances are you have this Chromatics song engraved into your brain. At the end of The Return Part 2, just before the end credits roll, David Lynch uses the sentimental Shadow to transport us back to the Bang Bang Bar, where besides music, there’s always love in the air.

... I took your picture from the frame.

Oasis - Don’t Look Back In Anger

A: Oasis
S: Don’t Look Back In Anger

As Don’t Look Back In Anger has become the symbol of Manchester's spirit. The moment a crowd of Mancunians spontaneously broke into a rendition of the Oasis song has been shared around the world, cementing the song as a symbol of Manchester’s resilience in the face of tragedy.

... at least not today.

...let it shine.

Katy Perry Feat. Nicki Minaj - Swish Swish

A: Katy Perry Feat. Nicki Minaj
S: Swish Swish

Swish Swish is a self-empowerment anthem that calls out haters. Katy mentioned her album is about a 360° liberation and this song is about escaping pointless negativity. The central hook uses the image of a basketball player consistently scoring points, imitating the swish sound of the hoop’s net. But of course everybody knows it's about Katy's beef with Taylor Swift.

... karma's not a liar.
