St. Lucia - Paradise is Waiting

A: St. Lucia
S: Paradise is Waiting

St. Lucia front man Jean-Philip Grobler says: “These songs couldn’t be more different, but we’re so proud of them both. Paradise Is Waiting might be the most epic thing we’ve ever done, and A Brighter Love is probably the sparsest. It was really hard choosing which songs to lead with, but we felt like these two best represent the extremes of our new music.”

... I can see you standing in the sun.

St. Lucia - A Brighter Love

A: St. Lucia
S: A Brighter Love

St. Lucia has released two new tracks, A Brighter Love and Paradise Is Waiting, both of which will be included on the band’s forthcoming third album. These songs mark St. Lucia’s first musical offerings since the release of their sophomore album, Matter, in 2016 and are available now on all digital formats.

... now in silence I wait.

MAMMÚT – Kinder Version

A: MAMMÚT
S: Kinder Version

From its opening moments, it’s clear that Kinder Versions, the first song from the first album in English by Icelandic rock group Mammút, is opposed to restraint. It’s hard to make any reference points that aren’t condescending of the sheer breadth of its achievements. Enjoy.

... you showed me the dark, showed me the light.

Aerosmith - Crazy

A: Aerosmith
S: Crazy

Last but not least, Crazy featured the third appearance of Alicia Silverstone in an Aerosmith video, and was the career debut of Steven's then-teenaged daughter Liv Tyler. The decision to cast Liv in the video for Crazy was based on the video's creators having seen her in a Pantene commercial.

... I'm never, never, never, never gonna be the same.

Aerosmith - Amazing

A: Aerosmith
S: Amazing

Next up in the Aerosmith Alicia Silverstone trilogy is Amazing. As ever so often, the middle part of a trilogy somehow ended up being the one that got the least attention, which is totally unjustified as this short trip down memory lane proves.

... how high can you fly with broken wings?

Aerosmith - Cryin'

A: Aerosmith
S: Cryin'

Aerosmith released Cryin' 25 years ago today. In honor of the anniversary, let us pay tribute to the greatest rock video trilogy of all time - Aerosmith's Alicia Silverstone trilogy. As soon as Cryin' hit MTV (remember that?) in the summer of 1993, it was clear Alicia was a new rock&roll muse.

... love wasn't much of a friend of mine.

Jaakko Eino Kalevi - Double Talk

A: Jaakko Eino Kalevi
S: Double Talk

Talking about his self-titled debut album in a press release back in 2015, Jaakko said that he played the self-titled card this time because for many people this album will be their first encounter with my music. Also, I get my name misspelled so often that I think it's good to focus on that at this point. True that, I bet he has one hell of a hard time at Starbucks.

... we have the gold we don't seem to own.
