Ladies and gents, boys and girls - bitches and bastards: I give you The Xx and last night's winner of the Barclaycard Mercury Prize for Album of the Year.They got my approval, Mercury that is. The Xx are from another world anyway. You can never put the finger on what the music is all about, and I think that no band before managed to evoke such emotions with so basic compositions.
