Woowsapalooza - Natalie Maines wasn't kidding when she said Gaslighter is going to be the group's best album - the new release date is July 17 by the way. But back to March March, the third song released off The Chicks fifth album. It's one of those rare songs that draws you in straight from the first seconds. And while you wait, clinching from note to note, hoping, praying that it's not going to fall apart or get worse, you realize this is a masterpiece. The song itself as much as the video. Oh and if you wondered what happened to Dixie: The trio has changed its name to simply The Chicks, in an apparent distancing from a name associated with the Confederate-era South.

Mike Hadreas’ fifth album as Perfume Genius thrums with an intoxicating physical energy. Set My Heart on Fire Immediately follows through on urgency of its title. Describe originally started as a somber ballad before Mike turned it into the distorted country-rock song it is now, keeping the vocal the same, adding a guitar that actually heightens the original spirit of the song - or as Mike puts it: It makes the vocal gentler, and then my vocal made his guitar heavier. I like that wrestle, and that’s what that song is about—feeling on edge physically and emotionally, where you know that there’s more available to you, but you can’t access it in that void of depression.
